Billy Soh

Billy Soh (b. 1979) is a multi disciplinary artist with different areas of practices that revolves around photography, paper making, sound and installation art.

 

Trained in Visual Communication majoring in Photography at Temasek Polytechnic, he had since been questioning the photographic medium through interactions with sound and images. Most recently, questioning the commercial dependency of the photographic medium gave rise to some otherworldly works. His interactions with different media gave him with the versatility to work with a wide range of media and materials.

Billy Soh currently chairs the Singapore Contemporary Young Artists from 2016-2019, and is also a co-founder of the playitforwardsg initiative that place-makes public spaces for music making through public piano installations.
